Recovering lost or corrupted information

You can recover lost or corrupted information if that information still exists on the device. To recover lost information, delete the corrupted records or files and then use the following procedure to manually select a full synchronization.

Note: When you delete corrupted records, information in unmapped fields is lost.

To manually select a full synchronization

  1. Check your configuration settings and verify the following information.

  • The synchronization data transfer setting is selected for each application in which you want to restore records.

  • A filter or other setting will prevent records from being included in the synchronization.

  • Open the Advanced settings dialog box and verify that the Confirm record deletions check box is selected.

  1. Initiate a synchronization.

  2. When the Confirm Changes dialog box appears, click Re-Sync.
