Initializing synchronization

Full synchronization

The first time you synchronize information, a full synchronization is performed. Each mapped field in a record is examined, and data is simply merged. No records are deleted. Corresponding records trigger a data conflicts and are handled using the selected conflict resolution setting.

Subsequent synchronizations are faster, because only changed, added, and deleted records are reviewed. However, in some cases a full synchronization may be performed again. For example, a full synchronization is automatically used to ensure data integrity if you change certain synchronization settings. You can also choose to do a full synchronization manually, for example if data is lost or becomes corrupted.
