Upgrading to newer versions of Outlook

If you upgrade to a newer version of Outlook, you must reconfigure Outlook folder options in the Intellisync Configuration application. If you do not, records may not be synchronized.

Changing profiles

  • If multiple Microsoft Exchange profiles are synchronized, local caching should not be enabled.

  • If you change the user profile:

  • The default folder selection may also change.

  • Custom folder mapping for the profile in use is lost.

  • The user profile is changed for all other configured sections, but the folder mapping is not updated for these sections. You must manually map the folders. For information, see the Selecting the folders to synchronize help topic.

Logging on to a network

If you are working on a network, use the same user name each time you log on. If you log on with another name, Intellisync will synchronize your device with the other user name information.

Options Dialog Box

If your Outlook profile was deleted and your applications were configured to synchronize with Outlook, select None from the Choose Application dialog box to close the application.

Connection to Exchange Server lost

If the connection to the Exchange Server is lost during synchronization, all records that Intellisync attempts to synchronize after the connection fails are deleted from the device. During the next synchronization, Intellisync Desktop stops responding.

Appointment exclusions

Repeating appointment exclusions that occur more than one year after the start date of the series are not transferred.

Attachment filters

Because the attachment size exported by Outlook is larger than the size of the attachment content, some attachment size filters may not work as expected.
