Microsoft Outlook overview
The information in this help file is valid for applications making use of Intellisync’s support for all available features. For example, your application may or may not support Filtering or Field Mapping. Depending on your application’s level of support, some information may not apply.
Intellisync supports synchronizing the following Microsoft Outlook (Outlook) applications:

Calendar

Contacts
-
Notes
-
Tasks
Information that is not synchronized

User-created Outlook folders at the root level. User-created folders must be a sub-folder of the root folder or they cannot be selected for synchronization.

Records that do not use the Appointments, Tasks, or Contacts basic form, or customized forms based on these forms.

Alarms that occur in the past.

Special characters < >, “, /\, *, ?, |, &, :, “, ‘, used in title or subject fields are transferred as “_”.

Tasks that are marked complete are not transferred to your device.
Field length limit

The maximum character limit for the Subject field is 253 characters.
Outlook custom fields
To include custom fields in synchronization, you must map them. For instructions, see the Mapping fields help topic.
