Microsoft Outlook Express Contacts

Intellisync automatically matches fields between Outlook Express and your device. Field mapping can be viewed and changed from the Configuration dialog.

To view or modify field mapping

  1. If you have done the first-run synchronization, synchronize and back up your data.

  2. In the Configuration dialog box, select the device’s section name. Click Configure.

  3. Click Advanced Settings from the menu.

The Advanced Settings dialog box appears.

  1. Click Field Mapping. 

The Field Mapping dialog box appears.

Device section fields are listed in the left column. Outlook Express fields are listed in the right column. Mapped fields are linked by an arrow in the center column.

To change field mapping

  • To un-map a field, click the arrow in the center column. The arrow disappears.

  • To map a field, click in the center column. An arrow appears.

  • To match up fields, drag and drop the fields on the right.

  • To restore default field mapping, click Reset.

Notes:

  • Mapping text fields of different lengths may truncate text.

  • Do not un-map date or time fields.

  • Changing field mapping can create duplicates.
