Lotus Notes troubleshooting

General

  • If a field that contains a Lotus Notes table is edited on the device, unwanted changes may be made to the data.

  • If you enter an invalid Lotus Notes Password during the first synchronization, you must enter the correct password in the Intellisync Options dialog box for Lotus Notes.

  • If a memo is viewed in iNotes, the body of the memo may be changed during the next synchronization.

  • If you delete a record, on the next synchronization, sync may occur for more than one section.

  • During synchronization, characters in text fields (like subject or location) that exceed 32763 bytes are truncated.

Alarms

  • Due to differences between alarms in Lotus Notes and devices, when synchronizing Lotus Notes Reminders, Anniversaries, or Events, Intellisync converts unsupported alarm times to the closest matching alarm time.

Address Book

  • Lotus Notes requires contacts to have a Last name and Company name. If you create a Contacts or Address Book record on your device without a Last name or Company name, the record is ignored and not transferred.

  • Do not create records with short names (title only in the First name field, and last name in Last name field). Titles in the First name field are not transferred during synchronization using the default field mapping.

Filters

  • If a filter with the Before X criteria is applied to Tasks, Lotus Notes tasks without a due date will be transferred to the device. If the task is edited on the device, during the next synchronization, it is deleted from the device.
