Map Fields

To view or modify field mapping

1. On the Map Fields dialog, the device appears in the left column and your selected PIM application appears in the right column. Default mapped fields are indicated by arrows in the center column.

2. To un-map fields, click the arrow between two mapped fields in the center column.

3. To map fields, click between two fields in the center column to add an arrow. Fields must be adjacent to map them. To make fields adjacent, click and drag the PIM application field to the new location.

4. To reset all fields to the default, click the Reset button.

5. When you are finished, click OK.

Notes

• Fields that must be mapped are indicated with an asterisk.

• To preserve data integrity, do not un-map time or date fields.

• Fields that contain different data types cannot be mapped to each other.

• Fields that contain multiple lines: Different information can be stored on each line. If you do not map each line, you can map extra lines to other fields.

• Device fields that span more than one line of text: In some cases, you can map the field to two or more fields. For example:

• Description   <->  Description-First Line
