Specifying the file to synchronize

If your PIM uses a file to store information, you can specify which file is synchronized.

Note: Changing the file that is synchronized can cause records to be deleted from your device. To ensure data integrity, use the Confirm record Deletions confirmation setting if you select a different file to synchronize. This setting allows you to review records before they are deleted.

To specify the file to synchronize

  1. From the Intellisync setup dialog box, select the file that you want to sync. You can select more than one application to sync, but you must complete the first application’s configuration before selecting the next application.

  2. To set up applications for sync:

    The currently selected file name appears in the File Name box. If the File Name box is read-only, Intellisync automatically uses the displayed file.
     

  3. Select the file you want to sync. To browse to the file or folder, click Browse. To enter the file name manually, type the file name and path.
     

  4. When you have completed the configuration, click OK.
