Selecting the folders to synchronize

If your PIM uses folders, you can specify which folders are synchronized. This process is called folder mapping.

Note: Changing folder mapping can cause records to be deleted from your device. To ensure data integrity, use the Confirm record Deletions confirmation setting if you change folder mapping. This setting allows you to review records before they are deleted.

To map folders

  1. On the Map Folders dialog, click to select an available desktop application folder from the <PIM> folders box on the left. The box on the right displays the default desktop application folder or the folder that you mapped to your device folder.

  2. To include any sub folders, click the Include subfolders check box.

  3. Click Add.

  4. To set the default folder with which to sync, select the folder in the Selected folders box on the right, and click the Set as Default button.

  5. The default folder name appears in Bold text.

  6. To remove a folder from the Selected folders list, click to select the folder and then click Remove.

  7. When you are finished, click OK.
