Filters allow you to limit the records that are transferred during synchronization, based on conditions you specify. You can use a different filter for each application section. Intellisync provides the Exclude Private Data filter and you can create new filters.

Notes:

  • Filtering on unmapped fields is not supported and can cause unexpected results, including data loss on the device.

  • Records that do not meet the specified filter criteria, but that were modified on the PIM prior to synchronizing with the filter, will be transferred to the device along with the records that met the filter criteria.

To apply or work with a filter

  1. Open the Advanced settings dialog box and click the Filter button.

The selected filter is highlighted. The following filters are available, along with any filters you have created.

  • <None Selected>: (default) No filter is used, all records are included.

  1. Perform one or more of the following actions and then click OK.

  • To edit an existing filter, select the filter and click Edit.

  • To rename an existing filter, select the filter and click Rename.

  • To delete an existing filter, select the filter and click Delete.
